Experiencing trauma can change the way you see yourself, others, and the world. You may find yourself feeling on edge, emotionally numb, easily triggered, or disconnected from the person you used to be. These reactions are not signs of weakness — they’re the mind and body’s way of trying to stay safe after something painful or overwhelming has happened.

Therapy can help you begin to understand and gently process these experiences in a way that feels safe and manageable. Through trauma-informed approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), we can work to reduce the emotional intensity of past memories and build a stronger sense of safety and connection in the present.

My approach to trauma therapy focuses on safety, trust, and empowerment. Together, we can:

  • Explore how trauma has affected your emotions, body, and relationships

  • Use EMDR to help the brain reprocess painful experiences and reduce distress

  • Build grounding and regulation skills to manage triggers

  • Strengthen your sense of control, safety, and self-compassion

  • Work toward healing and reconnecting with your life and values

I support individuals aged 16 and older through virtual therapy across Ontario. Therapy can help you process trauma and find calm, connection, and confidence again.
