Frequently asked questions
Therapy offers a supportive, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. Whether you're navigating grief, stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, or feeling stuck, therapy can help you understand yourself more deeply and develop tools to cope and grow. It’s not about being “broken” — it’s about caring for your mental and emotional wellbeing, just as you would your physical health. Choosing therapy is an act of courage and self-compassion — a step toward healing, clarity, and meaningful change.
If it’s your first time starting therapy, it’s totally normal to feel a bit unsure or nervous — that’s okay. My goal is to make our sessions feel like a safe, supportive space where you can show up just as you are. You don’t need to have it all figured out before you come in.
In our first session, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy and what you might be hoping for. And if you’re not quite sure yet — that’s completely fine too. We’ll figure it out together. Each session is shaped by what feels most important to you that day. Sometimes that means working through something heavy, and other times it’s simply having space to breathe and reflect.
I see therapy as a team effort. I’m here to walk alongside you as you work through grief, stress, anxiety, self-doubt — whatever you’re carrying — and help you find ways to feel more grounded and connected as you move forward.
I offer online therapy sessions via phone or video through the secure Jane app. This allows you to receive support from the comfort of your home. Currently, I do not offer in-person sessions.
Each therapy session usually lasts 60 minutes. If you need a longer session, 90-minute appointments are available and will be billed accordingly.
You can pay for your therapy sessions using a saved credit card, which will be automatically charged after each session. You'll receive a receipt to submit for insurance reimbursement. Most insurance plans cover these sessions, but please check with your provider to confirm.
If you need to cancel, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any charges. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment or missed sessions will be charged the full session fee. I understand that life happens, so if there are extenuating circumstances, please let me know.
